Furniture stores.
Outlet warehouses.
Catalogs.
Online listings.
We found plenty of dining tables â but none that felt right. Most were either too short, too narrow, or designed more for decoration than real family meals. Some claimed to seat eight or ten, but once you added serving dishes in the center, elbows started bumping.
We didnât want âtechnically seats ten.â

So after coming up empty-handed again and again, I decided to stop searching.
And start building.
