The Garnish:
4 whole Green Onions (scallions, sliced on a bias).
1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds.
Optional: Red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
Step-by-Step Cooking Guide
Step 1: Boil the Noodles
Cook your noodles according to the package instructions.
Drain and rinse under cold water to prevent sticking. Set aside.
Step 2: Brown the Ground Beef
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it into small pieces, until completely browned.
Drain any excess grease from the pan.
Step 3: Build the Sauce
Turn the heat down to medium.
Toss the minced garlic and grated ginger directly in with the beef. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and the water/cornstarch mixture. Stir well to combine.
Step 4: Simmer and Toss
Let the liquid simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. The brown sugar and cornstarch will quickly create a thick, glossy glaze over the beef.
Toss the cooked noodles directly into the skillet.
Stir vigorously for 1–2 minutes until the noodles are completely coated and heated through.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat.
Top generously with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
