Why Neon and Extremely Bright Colors Draw Too Much Attention

A funeral outfit does not need to look gloomy. However, it should generally allow you to participate without becoming a visual focal point. Bright fluorescent clothing can unintentionally shift attention toward the wearer, especially in a room filled with dark or neutral clothing.

Instead, choose softer versions of colors you already enjoy. Replace hot pink with dusty rose or mauve when the family welcomes color. Similarly, replace electric blue with navy or slate blue. You can also swap bright green for forest, olive, or deep sage.
